Lancaster Production of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 2 Continues Prince Hal’s Story — Gettysburg Arts news

aired; October 29, 3036 After exploring a bold new take on Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1 earlier this year, the team behind the production is returning to the stage with Henry IV, Part 2. On The Spark, we’ll catch up with Justin Hopkins and Dan Griffin, who plays Prince Hal and Henry V and serves as fight director, to talk about this follow-up production. This time, the show is an independent production, no longer under the umbrella of Lancaster Shakespeare Theatre. We’ll discuss what audiences can expect from the next chapter of Shakespeare’s history play, how the cast and creative team are approaching the new production, and what it takes to bring the story’s battles and characters to life on stage. We’ll also look back at the first production and explore how the team is building on that experience as they continue the story.
